Type 2 Diabetes

For a body that has stopped listening to its own insulin, and a treatment plan that keeps growing without catching up.

An individual medical review. An informed decision.

How stem cell therapy may help with type 2 diabetes

In type 2 diabetes the body’s cells grow resistant to insulin. The pancreas works harder to compensate, glucose stays high, and low-grade inflammation spreads through vessels and organs. Medication, diet and exercise manage the readings. They do not address the inflammation that keeps the resistance in place.

Concerns to discuss with your care team

Readings that resist the plan

Fasting numbers that stay high and post-meal spikes, despite medication taken exactly as prescribed.

Constant tiredness

Fatigue that rest does not clear, and an afternoon fog that makes work harder than it was.

Tingling, numbness and slow healing

Feet that burn or go quiet, and small wounds that linger for weeks.

Watching the rest of the body

Blood pressure, cholesterol and kidney results all under review, and the sense of a clock running.

Who may be a candidate

Adults with diagnosed type 2 diabetes whose control or quality of life remains limited under conventional care may be evaluated. Candidacy is decided by our physicians after a medical review of your history, recent blood work and current treatment, never by a form.

Treatment is not offered where there is active infection, certain cancers, or other conditions identified in review.

Questions

Asked before, answered plainly.

Will I be able to stop insulin or my other medication?

We do not promise that. Any change to your medication is a decision for you and your physicians together, guided by your readings. Treatment is studied for its effect on inflammation and metabolic function, not as a replacement for your care.

How is the treatment given?

Usually by intravenous delivery, so the cells circulate to the pancreas, liver and wider body. The route is decided by our physicians after reviewing your case, in a single visit to our licensed clinic in San José.

Do I still need to manage diet and exercise?

Yes. Nothing here replaces the care you already give yourself. Treatment sits alongside your diet, activity and medication, and your own physician's plan continues unchanged.

When might I notice a change?

Responses vary. Some patients report changes within weeks; others over several months. We follow up with you on a set schedule after treatment.

Who is not a candidate?

Active infection, certain cancers, and some other conditions rule treatment out. Your medical review determines candidacy, not this page.
