Stem cell treatment · Medical review required

Type 1 Diabetes

For a life measured in units and readings, and an immune system that turned on the pancreas long ago.

An individual medical review. An informed decision.

How stem cell therapy may help with type 1 diabetes

In type 1 diabetes the immune system attacks the beta cells of the pancreas, the cells that make insulin. Insulin output falls, glucose builds in the blood, and injected insulin becomes a daily necessity. Insulin, diet and monitoring manage the numbers. They do not address the immune activity or the inflammation in the pancreas.

Concerns to discuss with your care team

Glucose that swings

Highs and lows that arrive without warning, whatever you ate and however carefully you dosed.

Nights broken by readings

Alarms, corrections and the thirst that wakes you, then a morning that starts already tired.

The first signs of complications

Tingling feet, changes in vision, or a kidney result your doctor is now watching.

A life organised around the disease

Every meal, journey and workout planned twice, and the fatigue of never being off duty.

Who may be a candidate

Adults with diagnosed type 1 diabetes whose control or quality of life remains limited under insulin and conventional care may be evaluated. Candidacy is decided by our physicians after a medical review of your history, recent blood work and current treatment, never by a form.

Treatment is not offered where there is active infection, certain cancers, or other conditions identified in review.

What to expect

Investment

Each plan is built for one patient. In your consultation we walk through the full investment and exactly what it includes: cells, clinical care, and the arrangements around your stay.

The Cellebration approach

Questions

Asked before, answered plainly.

Will I be able to stop insulin or my other medication?

No. This is not a replacement for insulin, and we do not promise a lower dose. Any change to your medication is a decision for you and your physicians together, guided by your readings. Treatment is studied for its effect on inflammation and metabolic function, not as a replacement for your care.

How is the treatment given?

Usually by intravenous delivery, so the cells circulate to the pancreas and the wider body. The route is decided by our physicians after reviewing your case, in a single visit to our licensed clinic in San José.

I have had type 1 diabetes for decades. Can I still be evaluated?

Yes. Length of disease is one of the things your medical review weighs, alongside your current control, complications and fitness to travel. It does not rule you out on its own.

When might I notice a change?

Responses vary. Some patients report changes within weeks; others over several months. We follow up with you on a set schedule after treatment.

Who is not a candidate?

Active infection, certain cancers, and some other conditions rule treatment out. Your medical review determines candidacy, not this page.
