Congestive Heart Failure

For the breathlessness, the swelling and the fatigue that medication holds in check but does not lift.

An individual medical review. An informed decision.

How stem cell therapy may help with congestive heart failure

In heart failure the muscle no longer pumps as it should, and fluid gathers in the lungs and the legs. Medication eases the load on the heart and keeps the fluid down. It does not address the inflammation in the muscle itself.

Concerns to discuss with your care team

Breathlessness

Short of breath on the stairs, on a walk, or lying flat at night.

Swollen legs and ankles

Fluid that gathers through the day and shoes that no longer fit by evening.

Deep fatigue

An exhaustion that is not ordinary tiredness and does not lift with sleep.

A day built around the heart

Errands rationed, invitations declined, the world narrowed to what the heart will allow.

Who may be a candidate

Adults with diagnosed congestive heart failure that has stabilised under conventional care, but whose function or quality of life remains limited, may be evaluated. Candidacy is decided by our physicians after a medical review of your history, recent cardiac testing and fitness to travel, never by a form.

Treatment is not offered where there is heart failure with symptoms at rest, other unstable cardiac conditions, active infection, certain cancers, or other conditions identified in review.

What to expect

1. Evaluation

A call with a patient advisor, then a medical review of your records and recent cardiac testing.

4. Follow-up care

Scheduled check-ins with our team after you return home.

Investment

Each plan is built for one patient. In your consultation we walk through the full investment and exactly what it includes: cells, clinical care, and the arrangements around your stay.

Questions

Asked before, answered plainly.

Does this replace my cardiologist's care?

No. It sits alongside it. Your heart failure medication, your cardiologist and any device you rely on continue, and our physicians review your case with that care in mind.

How is the treatment given?

Usually by intravenous delivery, in a single visit to our licensed clinic in San José. The route is decided by our physicians after reviewing your case.

Is it safe for me to travel?

That is one of the first questions your medical review answers. Heart failure that is not stable is a reason not to travel, and where that is the case we will tell you so.

When might I notice a change?

Responses vary. Some patients report changes within weeks; others over several months. We follow up with you on a set schedule after treatment.

Who is not a candidate?

Heart failure with symptoms at rest, other unstable cardiac conditions, active infection, certain cancers and some other conditions rule treatment out. Your medical review determines candidacy, not this page.
